Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure at Dolores’, 1841 S 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA.  Cheesesteak scored 89/100.

964th different cheesesteak in the last four years and it was a good day to be the cheesesteak guy.  I had special guest eaters from your Philadelphia Phillies; Director of fun and games, John Brazer and the star of this and many days, former Hot Pants Patrol member Debbie.  I got my usual Cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. Dolores’ uses Sarcone rolls. I usually think Sarcone rolls are too dense for cheesesteaks but this cheesesteak was wrapped for at least 40 minutes and the roll loosened up nicely. I really liked the mushrooms. The meat is not chopped. I am rethinking mushrooms on not chopped cheesesteaks. I liked the roll, meat and mushrooms individually. Together, not so much but I think that is because the mushrooms have nowhere else to go but on top of the meat. I grew up on chopped cheesesteaks and like everything chopped together. Dolores’ pizza steak has me curious but I think I am going back for the breakfast sandwiches.

Drive TO 1,000!  964 different cheesesteaks eaten in the last 4 years.  I’ll be at a 1,000 different cheesesteaks by the end of the year.  I love guest eaters, DM me to join me.  Actually, I will join you at your favorite spot.
