Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure at Lou Turk’s, 500 Powhatan Ave, Essington, PA. Scored 90/100.
Different Cheesesteak #911. Guest Eater Mercedes. When you want a very good cheesesteak and your friends want to go to a Gentlemen’s Club, Lou Turk’s is the place for you. This was a darn good cheesesteak. John is semi-retired from owning several different cheesesteak shops in the Philadelphia area. He’s an OG scooper. There is a very nice balance between roll, meat, cheese and extras. The mushrooms enhanced the flavor of the meat very nicely. He uses real chicken in his chicken cheesesteaks and his fried shrimp are heaven on earth/sea.
Drive TO 1,000! 911 Different cheesesteaks eaten in the last 3 years. I’ll be at a 1,000 different cheesesteaks by the end of the year. I love guest eaters, DM me to join me. Actually, I will join you at your favorite spot.
